Welcome new and returning families!
For the past six years, The First Tee has positively impacted thousands of children in Eagle County. In partnership with The Youth Foundation, The First Tee instills crucial life skills: honesty, responsibility, integrity, honesty, judgment, respect, courtesy, confidence, sportsmanship, and perseverance. In previous years, The First Tee of Eagle County par camps have not only featured exceptional golf instruction, but provided other recreational activities like soccer, martial arts, or fitness and nutrition games, enabling participants to apply the inherent values of golf to many different settings. Higher skilled First Tee participants are also given amazing opportunities to receive instruction and to play in tournaments at some of the most prestigious and beautiful courses in the world. This makes The First Tee of Eagle County unique among 203 chapters and it continues to show a progressive approach to the national framework.
The First Tee of Eagle County is committed to excellence in programming and extremely dedicated to its participants, staff, sponsors, and community. Therefore, in collaboration with The Youth Foundation staff, local golf courses, and board members, The First Tee of Eagle County has created a new and improved program design for 2012. The First Tee will continue to support Birdie and Eagle camps, as well as junior golf tournaments. However, in a strong effort to close achievement gaps in Eagle Valley Schools, an academic component will be added to the operation of par camps, mentoring participants not only on the course, but in the classroom. Many students in Eagle County are in need of extra educational support during the summer and what better way to provide this academic support than through First Tee camps. Changes will also be made to improve parent involvement, staff trainings, and overall program management to ensure that all participating youth are receiving the best mentorship and opportunity to develop as students and leaders in their schools and communities. By using summer par camps to combine golf instruction with academic learning, The First Tee can join other initiatives of The Youth Foundation and continue to make a significant difference among youth in Eagle County. We look forward to the new opportunities that our 2012 approach will bring to our First Tee families and are eager for you to continue your involvement with The First Tee of Eagle County.

The First Tee 2012 will meet the need of the community through recreation, education, and youth development. We will do this through increased training, communication, and partnerships. The First Tee of Eagle County aims to be the only chapter in the country to serve its participants comprehensively both on and off the course.
